Fortunately for him (and me) the facility where he was having respite suggested that a placement consultant could help me navigate the complexity of the aged care system and assist in finding a permanent place in aged care. I cannot overstate how helpful Kerrie has been. The first and most urgent requirement was to find Dad a permanent place in care, and Kerrie was able to draw up a short list of three places. Through her contacts Kerrie secured a place for my father in the facility at the top of our list. She was also able to negotiate a longer than usual respite period so Dad could see how he liked the place.
An additional service she offered was to assist us in making sense of the financial complexities of Dad’s situation. This was invaluable and helped me better plan financially for my father’s ongoing care.
Personally, I found Kerrie great to deal with. She has immense patience in explaining the complexities of the aged care system and was always available to discuss questions that came up along the way.
This has been a very good story for my father. He is now happily ensconced in an excellent facility, and we completely understand the costs and can budget for his care. I have no hesitation in recommending Kerrie and the services she offers.
